British MP Says He Was “Definitely Misled” Over UK’s Five Eyes UFO Cooperation

In a striking revelation, British MP Clive Lewis has publicly stated that he was “definitely misled” by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) regarding the UK’s collaboration with Five Eyes allies on matters concerning Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). Lewis, who represents Norwich South and previously served as the shadow defence secretary, made these comments during a discussion with Dr. Peter Skafish, co-founder and executive director of the Sol Foundation, a U.S.-based research institute focused on UAP.

The controversy arose after Lewis submitted a series of written parliamentary questions to the MOD in July and August 2025, seeking clarity on the UK’s involvement in UAP investigations and its cooperation with Five Eyes partners, which include the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. According to Lewis, the responses he received indicated that the UK was not working with its Five Eyes counterparts on UAP issues.

Lewis noted, "I believe one or two of your questions concerned whether the United Kingdom was working with other Five Eyes governments on the UAP issue - and, in both cases, I believe you received a negative answer." However, he expressed frustration, pointing out that contrary information exists, as members of the Five Eyes alliance have acknowledged their collaborative efforts on UAP matters.

The initial responses to Lewis's inquiries came from Luke Pollard, who was then the Minister for the Armed Forces. Pollard asserted that the MOD had not conducted or commissioned any studies related to UAP since 2013 and reiterated that investigations into sightings had ceased in 2009 after determining that none posed a military threat to the UK. However, Lewis took issue with Pollard's comments regarding international cooperation, particularly when Pollard stated that the MOD had not participated in any international groupings focused on UAP since May 2023.

When Lewis sought confirmation about ongoing UK cooperation with the Five Eyes UAP Caucus, Veterans and People Minister Louise Sandher-Jones did not provide a direct answer, instead referring him back to Pollard’s earlier statements. This lack of clarity has raised questions about the transparency of the MOD’s communications and its actual involvement in international UAP discussions.

The situation is further complicated by a documentary trail suggesting that British officials have been engaged in Five Eyes UAP coordination for several years, contradicting the MOD's official stance.
